On some evenings and weekends,
we have a variety of music and entertainment.
Most
Fridays, guests can enjoy
the music and dance of the islands, as well as be able to learn some
Hawaiian, Pidgin (Hawaiian Slang), and Hula dancing themselves to deepen
their Aloha experience at Aloha Cafe.
FEATURED
PERFORMERS
Friday Evenings and Special
Events:
Charles
Kealiealoha,
born and raised in Hawaii, has made sharing the culture of Hawaii a
vision through his love of Hawaiian music. Charlie's parents were
singers, and several of his relatives have enjoyed popular recording
success. Charlie also organizes and produces the annual
Ho'olaulea where Hawaiians and
Hawaiians at heart gather in Jupiter to celebrate the rich culture
of Hawaii. The tunes you will hear Charlie play are old Hawaiian
songs on the rhythm guitar. For those of you old timers, you may
even recognize a similarity between Charlie's voice and the once
famous,
Gabby Pahanui.
His music is rich in spirit and soul and carries the heart and
passion passed down through his ancestors. Currently, Charlie is in
the studio with
Soundproof Productions working on a
new CD. Released CDs are available at Aloha Cafe where you can sit
back and enjoy the soothing sounds of Charlie's beloved Hawaii,
while you enjoy the foods of the Islands.
Miyelin
Delgado, or "Mimi"
as everyone at Aloha Cafe calls her, is part Venezuelan, Columbian,
Tahitian, and African. Born and raised in Miami, Mimi is a
professional Polynesian dancer for Aloha Cafe, Ohana Arts, Drums of
Polynesian, and Densina. She attends Miami Dade College with a
pre-veterinary medicine major and minor in dance. She is also the
Director for the Caribbean Dance Team, part of four different
academic organizations, and models. Mimi can be found dancing and
teach at Aloha Cafe on the first and third Fridays of the Month for
Evening on the Avenues, as well as at Aloha Cafe's special workshops
and classes for kids and adults.
